Erin Kearney is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She is a graduate from Alfred University with a focus in ephemeral sculpture. Kearney’s work utilizes sculptural installation, video projection, and performance through a variety of mediums in her art practice. Through her research, Erin is continuously attempting to build a visual language for universal human experiences that lack a verbal or written vocabulary, such as loss, grief, birth, and family relationships. One of Kearney’s primary focuses is how to build artist communities through and with academia believing that art education is a vital part of being a human. Kearney is currently pursuing a MFA degree at the Ohio State University in Art & Technology.
